TITLE: Special Project Intern – Deaf Culture Content
REPORTS TO: Director
SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB FUNCTION: Create, facilitate and monitor activities related to Deaf Culture Awareness and other assigned projects
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support projects that help advance SIGNING Basics strategic plan
•Collect and maintain data related to Deaf Culture and provides updates on progress
•Write articles and blog content related to Deaf Culture and post them on social media and SIGNING Basics marketing campaigns
•Manage multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning techniques
•Monitors and reports status of project implementation and identifies next steps
•Attends various project reviews, meetings, ASL classes and special events
•Assists in developing strategic plans, goals and objectives to educate SIGNING Basics customers and fans about Deaf Culture
•Conduct research and analyzes information regarding assigned projects
•Maintains regular attendance
•Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrate effective organizational skills
Ability to evaluate program implementation and develop short and long term plans
Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders
Ability to produce, analyze, interpret, and summarize data/content
Use technology to support work processes
Communicate effectively in ASL or orally and in writing.
Must have the ability to learn basic American Sign Language.
Administrative Intern
Administrative Intern- Non Paid
TITLE: Administrative Intern
REPORTS TO: Director
SUPERVISES: N/A
Non Paid
JOB FUNCTION: Research prospects and create Excel Spreadsheet to track them. Create and maintains email list of prospects. May participate in other assigned projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support projects that help advance SIGNING Basics strategic plan
•Call prospects and obtains essential data
•Create an Excel Spreadsheet to recorded the collected data and maintain the data related to prospects and provides updates on progress
•Create an Excel Spreadsheet to record custom submissions of prospects interested in joining the SIGNING Basics email list
•May create email marketing letters to share information about upcoming events, classes or courses offered by SIGNING Basics
•Will post greetings or an approved informational piece related to Deaf Culture on social media
•Support ASL Tutors and Trainers during Zoom sessions as needed
•Monitors and reports status of project implementation and identifies next steps
•Attends various project reviews, meetings, ASL classes and special events
•Maintains regular attendance
•Maintains a weekly journal of new signs learned during the week. Due each Friday by COB
•Performs other duties as assigned
